Offered exclusively to professional athletes and executives who are looking to improve their sleep habits, practices, and overall sleep quality in a short period of time, the Introduction to Sleep Optimization package will provide education and personalized strategies to master sleep and perform like a champion. This package includes:

Individual Consultations

Individual consultations provide a personalized Sleep Performance Plan including: 

  • One-hour introductory session (virtual or in-person) to provide baseline education, review current sleep trends, discuss goals and areas of concern, and build a personalized Sleep Performance Plan 

  • Sleep Profile Questionnaire to assess baseline sleep health 

  • Follow up one-hour virtual session to review and adjust personalized Sleep Performance Plan, address upcoming travel, and tackle challenging sleep situations

  • Weekly check-ins from Dr. Mah 

  • Access to Dr. Mah throughout term 

  • 30-min Wrap Up call to finalize ongoing strategies and address final questions/concerns

  • Develop sleep support system with Dr. Mah, team providers, family, and others

Sleep Education

Sleep Education to provide an understanding of how sleep, body clock, and travel impact overall health and performance. Practical strategies integrated into Sleep Performance Plan. 

Customized Sleep Education on selected topics such as: 

  • Sleep quality 

  • Nutrition & hydration 

  • Sleep aids & supplements 

  • Managing short sleep 

  • Sleep environment

  • Sleep & injury risk 

  • Daytime optimization for sleep 

  • Sleep tools and latest technology 

  • Training & competition schedule 

  • Chronotype

Sleep Monitoring

Sleep monitoring provides ongoing assessment of sleep patterns and sleep trends. 

  • A minimum of three personalized sleep assessments including weekly check-ins, and pre/post evaluations. 

  • Obtain insights on sleep trends from objective sleep wearables.

  • Sleep wearable education and best practices 

  • Leverage strategies to improve sleep and monitor changes with sleep wearables

Travel and Schedule

Practical recommendations based on travel and schedule evaluation to minimize the effects of jet lag and maximize performance at home and while traveling. 

  • Assess home and travel schedules including flights and daily training. 

  • Obtain recommendations to minimize jet lag and maximize performance specific to targeted games or competitions. 

  • Develop specific strategies to improve sleep at home and while traveling

Sleep Tools

Each client will receive a Travel Sleep Kit with customized Sleep Tools that can be leveraged at home and while traveling to minimize environmental disturbances and maximize sleep quality. Items may include: travel pillow, sleep journal, eye mask, light blocking tools, white noise machine, ear plugs, and more.
